In order to purchase products and services through the Services, Users must first complete the registration process. During this process, Users are required to provide contact information (such as name, email, address and mobile phone number). This information is used to contact Users about the products and services for which they have expressed an interest. Blumeo advisors, upon request from Users, as part of a service request, may be required to disclose additional information to Blumeo in order to process more detailed information to complete the Users' file. Users' mobile device geolocation capabilities must also be enabled to access and use some of the features of the Services.
Blumeo requests information from Users on a Form. Users must provide contact information (such as name, address, email, and mobile phone number) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). Blumeo does not access or store credit card information. Money transfers made by credit card payment are processed using an official and accredited third-party online payment platform. This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfill Users' orders. If Blumeo has difficulty processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with Users.
Blumeo uses IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the Sites, track Users' movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Blumeo may share aggregated demographic information with its partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any particular person. Blumeo uses an outside credit card processing company to bill Users for goods and services. These companies, to the knowledge of Blumeo, do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes. Blumeo works in partnership with other companies to provide certain specific services. When Users register for these services, Blumeo shares the Users' contact information necessary for the third party company to provide the said services. These companies are not permitted to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing such services.
The Services may contain links to other websites. Blumeo is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. Blumeo encourages Users to be aware when leaving the Blumeo Services to read the privacy statements of each website that collects personally identifiable information. This CP applies only to information collected by the Blumeo Services.
If Users wish to subscribe to Blumeo's newsletter, Blumeo asks Users for contact information such as name and email for example.
From time to time, surveys or contests may be available on the Sites. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and Users therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name, address, mobile phone number, email) and demographic information (such as zip code, legal age, etc.). Contact information will be used to notify winners and in some cases reward them with a prize. The survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use of the Services and satisfaction with the sites.
If Users choose to inform an acquaintance about the Services, Users can send a text message (hereinafter referred to as "SMS") to their acquaintance via the Services available on their mobile phone by redirecting to the application of mobile device telephony. In this case, Users acknowledge that the sender of the SMS is the user himself, and in no case Blumeo, and that Blumeo does not store the content of the SMS or the recipient's telephone number. If Users choose to provide an acquaintance's email address to Blumeo, Blumeo will automatically send them a one-time email inviting them to visit the Sites. Blumeo stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this unique email. The person contacted may contact Blumeo by email at the address mentioned at the end of the document to request the deletion of this information from the database.
For the Sites to function properly, it may be necessary for Blumeo to supplement the information that is received with information from third-party sources. Blumeo may also aggregate this information into aggregate data about Users in order to describe the use of the Sites to our affiliates, existing or potential business partners or other third parties, or in response to a government request. This aggregated data will in no way personally identify Users or other visitors to the Sites.
Blumeo sends all new users a welcome SMS and/or email to verify their password and username. Registered Users will occasionally receive information on products, services, special offers and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of Users, Blumeo offers the option of not receiving these types of communication directly in the SMS or email concerned.
Blumeo also sends updates to the Sites and Services to Users. They cannot unsubscribe from this type of announcements which contain important information about the services. Blumeo communicates with Users, to provide the requested services and regarding questions relating to their account, by email or telephone.
If a user's personally identifiable information changes (such as zip code, mobile phone number), or if a user no longer desires to access the Services, Blumeo will endeavor to provide a means to correct, update or remove the personal data of this user. This can usually be done on the user account page or by email to the address mentioned at the end of the document or by sending a written request to the postal address mentioned at the end of the document.
Users have the option not to share their information for purposes that are not directly related to the Sites at the time Blumeo requests the information. For example, a Form confirmation page has an “unsubscribe” mechanism, so Users who order a product or subscribe to a service but do not want marketing materials can keep their email address off the lists. Users who no longer wish to receive the newsletter or promotional materials may refuse to receive these communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link contained in the email or by email to the address mentioned at the end of the document or by sending a request written to the postal address mentioned at the end of the document. Users of the Services are always informed when their information is collected by third parties. Blumeo does this so that Users can make a correct choice as to whether or not to proceed with services that require a third party company.
Cookie management policy
You have the option of viewing our websites anonymously. Non-personal usage data, such as the IP address of your device, pages viewed, browser used, date, time, etc., which we store by means of cookies or similar technologies, is however collected. on this occasion. These data do not in principle allow you to be identified. Even if, in a particular case, an identification could be possible, Blumeo does not take any interest in it and will not use this data in a personal way.
Cookies are used for several things. For example, they allow you to navigate between different pages efficiently, save your preferences and generally improve the user experience. Cookies help to select online advertisements that are more in line with your potential areas of interest and thus prevent the appearance of advertisements that may not be of interest to you.
We distinguish between the following cookies:
Absolutely necessary cookies: these cookies are essential for browsing our websites and for using certain functions such as access to the protected connection space. Without these cookies, services such as the shopping cart could not be offered.
Performance cookies: these cookies collect, for example, information on the most frequently visited pages. The best known is undoubtedly Google Analytics, which is likely, for logged in users, to record the account ID and an encrypted e-mail address in order to recognize them (*). Other performance cookies do not collect any information aimed at identifying visitors by nickname. The information collected is used in a combined way and is therefore anonymous. They are used to improve the functionality of websites, for example by means of A/B tests.
Functionality cookies: these cookies save the information you enter (e.g. user name, language, text size, past data, etc.) in order to improve your user experience of the websites.
Advertising and targeting cookies: these cookies use anonymous information about your browsing habits, or more specifically those listed in the browser, in order to select advertisements that are more in line with your supposed interests, to limit the frequency with which you see an advertisement or yet to help measure the effectiveness of digital advertising campaigns. These cookies are installed by Blumeo's own marketing body or by independent advertising networks on behalf of Blumeo and with its authorization. These advertising cookies remember your visit to our websites and share this anonymous usage behavior with other media companies. Under no circumstances are personal data such as your name, address or e-mail address stored in these cookies on this occasion. Advertising and targeting cookies serve as the technical basis for the advertising financing of the largely free offer of content providers such as Blumeo. Most of the cookies used by Blumeo are temporary session cookies, which are automatically deleted from the computer or mobile terminal at the end of the browsing session. However, we also use permanent cookies. These remain saved on the computer or mobile terminal after the end of the browsing session. Depending on their type, these permanent cookies remain stored on the computer or mobile terminal for between one month and ten years and are only automatically deactivated at the end of the programmed period.
Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies. However, you can configure your browser so that it does not accept any cookies or that it asks for your authorization before accepting cookies from a website you visit. You can also delete cookies from your computer or mobile terminal using the corresponding function of your browser. To find out how to do this, please consult the help or user manual of your browser under the “cookie” heading.
You can decide at any time whether or not to take advantage of targeted and selected advertising according to your potential areas of interest. A refusal does not mean, however, that you will no longer see any online advertisements. It simply means that the advertising which will be displayed on the Internet sites will not be chosen according to your supposed centers of interest and will therefore be likely to be less interesting for you.
In order to determine which cookies you wish to accept or refuse, we recommend the following two methods:
a) Make the corresponding settings in your browser:
Some browsers only allow cookies from third parties to be blocked. Third-party cookies are cookies that are set when the website you are viewing contains elements (e.g. banner ads or videos) from a third-party provider, e.g. from an advertising network.
You can also choose to block all cookies. However, this would have the effect of considerably restricting your Internet browsing experience if you use services that use absolutely necessary cookies, performance cookies or functionality cookies. For more information on the settings of your Internet browser in terms of data protection, please consult the help or the instructions for use of your browser under the heading "cookie".
b) Using Ghostery:
Today's websites use many useful tools and technologies, "trackers" (mainly cookies), to ensure an interesting and interconnected user experience. Trackers can use this information to display ads, analyze your browsing habits, establish connections with social networks, offer comment fields and much more.
Ghostery (https://www.ghostery.com/) is a browser extension that helps you manage internet trackers. It lists all the trackers present on each website and allows you to adapt them, one by one and in detail, to your needs.
This program is developed by Ghostery independently. Blumeo has no influence on the future functionalities of the latter and therefore disclaims all liability as to the extent of the services offered.
On this subject, please refer to the section: “Data protection provisions”.
